During a review meeting to assess the progress in the development works across the South Delhi Parliamentary constituency, chairmed by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday, Manjinder Singh Sirsa has been named the minister-in-charge of South Delhi parliamentary constituency.
In the presence of the Lok Sabha MP Ramvir Bidhuri, Sirsa and others, the chief minister, while taking stock of the ongoing development projects in the region, said that the move to appoint Sirsa as the nodal minister of the region would ensure better administrative coordination with the Delhi government regarding various works.

Taking to social media platform X, she informed that all the concerned department and agency officials have been directed to take feedback from public representatives and implement work based on their suggestions so that the development works for the public welfare could progress swiftly.
According to her, with this move, region related development schemes will get a new mementum and the people will directly benefit from it.
The CM said during the Seva Pakhwada to be organised by the Delhi government September 17 and October 2 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, health camps, inauguration of Arogya Mandirs, cleanliness drives, and various service programs will be held across the national capital.
Sirsa said the progress in the development works under schemes like MLA LAD and others was reviewed along with the conditions of the unauthorized colonies. The Delhi government, with the CM’s vision for national capital’s holistic development, is working tirelessly to provide better facilities to the people.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Sirsa expressed gratitude for being appointed as the minister in-charge for South Delhi region, and claimed that in times to come the picture of the region is going to be better with the upcoming projects worth crores of rupees.
The CM has been holding meetings with local representatives of different parliamentary constituencies for reviewing the ongoing works in different parts of the city.
Earlier, she has reviewed the works of Chandni Chowk parliamentary constituency, East Delhi, and North East parliamentary region.
Gupta is the in-charge for Chandni Chowk region, while Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh is the nodal minister in-charge for East Delhi, and Kapil Mishra for North East Delhi.
